Starfish – 3mths to 10mths Parent-child based No prior experience needed
Jellyfish – 10mths to 2yrs Parent-child based No prior experience needed
Squid – 2-3yrs Parent-child based No prior experience needed
Octopus – 2-3yrs No Parent Skill based Requires teacher’s recommendation
Turtle – 3yrs+ No Parent Non swimmer unable to swim without floatation device or put face in the water. Has no confidence.
Blowfish – 3yrs+ Non swimmer but confident in the water without floatation device
Swordfish – Skill based Can kick & paddle up to 5mtrs. Starting big arm freestyle Float on back independently
Dolphin – Skill based Can swim Freestyle and Backstroke up to 10mtrs with reasonable technique
Whale – Skill based Can swim freestyle with constant breathing and consistent arms in backstroke Can Breaststroke and Butterfly kick
